Touch Switch
Shin-Etsu Touch Switch is a PET-film or PC-film with patterning of a transparent conductive polymer called Seplegyda®, providing capacitive touch sensor elements. Printed wiring on the film is connecting the touch sensor elements to the driving electronics. The transparent polymer Seplegyda® is proving the sensor a unique flexibility that offers designers the freedom to position capacitive sensor functionality on curved surfaces.
The connection to the driver electronics board is generally realized by a tail with a ZIF-connection.
The design of dedicated sensing patterns and wiring is up to the application and developed by a triangle cooperation between customer, the driver circuit supplier and Shin-Etsu Polymer.
